The Council for the Welfare of Livestock (FAWC) is an organization of English government consults established in 1979 by MAFF (ndt: equivalent to our Ministry of Agriculture). This story begins with a girl and her dad. We are in 1989, she was only four years. He should go and buy the materials in a muted and not to leave their young daughter at home brings. Unfortunately, history has no happy ending. Behind the front, the dog is returned to the rightful owner of the little girl in tears. That girl was me. Already four years expressed my strong love for animals.
At sixteen, with the help of my sister, earned a petition and whining, I take my first dog. A collie. At last the dream comes true. He begins to take him out, to spend the afternoon in the villas to make him run and play and just one of those afternoons, one seemingly like everyone else, I know a girl, MP, that in a short time I will change my life. From the first moment I realized that our friendship would be something great. She was more mature than me, more mature, interesting, intelligent, full of purpose and enthusiasm. I was a little more than a little girl, completely anonymous, one of those who do not live there but, all in character form. MP, my MP, has made a miracle. I would not be who I am today if I had not met. First comes the volunteer at the shelter (she was a volunteer at the shelter house of Luke). There sadness. Dogs are wonderful beings, I wished I had one for a lifetime. How could there there were so many myself? How can a person who takes a dog to get rid of as if it were a pair of shoes? The crisis. I had paid for the dog, I was going to take me to Viterbo and there, a few meters from the station there were many Magliana alone, in search of love. The bitter. To atone for my sins, to silence that little voice that reminded me everyday that I had bought a collie instead of saving a dog from the street, for the love that binds me to these wonderful creatures, I adopted my second dog, just to Casa Luca. He began to find a niche in the world. Going into the kennel with MP beginning to know us better. She is a vegetarian. The first time I have thought "I wonder why a person should not eat meat, so sad." Then the epiphany. Knowledge and awareness are beginning to dig a hole in my heart and in my head. I read, I can tell, look and think, reason. Farewell, meat, fish goodbye, no worries, no regrets, no relapses. Do not take it anymore. The horror, the abomination, wickedness, perversion. Because nobody told me anything? Because my family does not made me grow up a vegetarian? Why it comes to football, tits and ass and not really suffering on farms? Their impact on the world, the environment, health? Why?

Thus began the saddest period of my life until today. The hands begin to itch, impotence is too much, the unbearable futility. I'm still, I watch a horror movie from my easy chair, can not get up and if I get up what I could do to stop this? The things I learn every day are becoming heavier and my back, still poorly trained, do not make it to hold more weight. This blog was born. To share with everyone my knowledge, to tell people what I really wanted someone says to me, to try to compare with others, to inform, to expose the terrible reality that is hidden every day, to open their eyes to those who can not do it alone.

I want to clarify a key point of the matter: I will not convince anyone to give up eating meat, but to make conscious, informed sull'abominio, the anachronism and the cruelty of factory farming! I want to talk about how they are affected every day and everywhere in the world, the rights of animals (and humans) and not only to dietary causes.

Maybe it will be useless, perhaps not. But even if the only victory that I was able to bring back would be to be for someone with my words, what has been MP for me with her, then the effort will not be in vain.
